Nóra Veszprémi
Nóra is an external research fellow on the project Art Collections of the Central-European Aristocracy, 1795-1939. A Comparative Study at Masaryk University, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham. She specialises in the art history of Central Europe between 1800 and 1945, with a particular focus on the representation of the past in art, as well as the history of museums and collecting.
Her publications include Liberalism, Nationalism and Design Reform in the Habsburg Empire (Routledge, 2020) and The Museum Age in Austria-Hungary (Penn State University Press, 2021), both co-authored with Matthew Rampley and Markian Prokopovych. Her most recent monograph, Persistent Illusions: Visual Culture and Historical Memory in Interwar Hungary, was published by Cornell University Press in 2025.
